StorageX Enters the 2026/2027 APAC Insider Business Awards

We’ve got some exciting news to share. StorageX Self Storage has officially submitted its application for the 2026/2027 APAC Insider Business Awards, a merit-based programme that celebrates outstanding businesses across the Asia-Pacific region. It’s a proud moment for the whole team and a chance to put everything we’ve built here in Melbourne in front of an independent judging panel. Here’s what the awards are, why we entered, and what it means for you.

What are the APAC Insider Business Awards?

The APAC Insider Business Awards are an annual programme recognising extraordinary businesses across the Asia-Pacific region. Entrants are judged on merit, innovation, business performance and customer service excellence. Rather than relying on public votes, winners are decided through independent research and assessment by APAC Insider’s judging panel. That’s exactly why the awards appealed to us: you can’t campaign your way to a win, you have to earn it.

Why did StorageX enter the APAC Insider Awards?

StorageX entered because the awards’ merit-based criteria match the values we run our business on. Self storage is often treated as a commodity, just a box with a lock on it, and we’ve always set out to prove it can be much more than that.

How big is StorageX today?

StorageX operates over 3,000 storage units across Melbourne, with facilities in Huntingdale and Northcote, a new Bentleigh facility opening in November 2026, and more sites in the pipeline. Our facilities serve households moving or renovating, as well as businesses needing flexible commercial storage for stock, equipment and documents.

What’s next for StorageX?

The next step is the judging process, and we’ll share the results as soon as they’re announced. Closer to home, we’re also getting ready to open the doors at our new Bentleigh facility in November. Whatever the outcome, we’re incredibly proud of how far StorageX has come.
