Over the years the team at Storage X have been asked a whole variety of questions, some common and some a little more unusual, although all important questions that need answering.

No, you are not allowed to live or sleep in a storage unit
Insurance is not required; however it is highly recommended with self storage and we can help you with insurance.

We treat security as extremley important Fully alarmed premises. We have the following in place.

  • Individually alarmed unit
  • Pin Pad access
  • Gates, roller doors and additional measures

Regular patrols by security company

Approved by independent security company

Yes, this is encouraged

We can help you with this, generally we think of storage as bedrooms,  Example: How many bedrooms of goods are you storing? Our storage calculator can also help you.

But don’t worry if you chose the wrong size, we are here to help you, ensuring you have the correct storage unit size and not paying for anything that does not suit.

As long or as little as you need

Chemicals, hazardous waste, flammable materials, and anything deemed illegal.

Yes you can, as long as they are not flammable.

You must contact the facility immediately to discuss; facilities have the right to enter your unit and dispose or sell your goods 42 days after the due date.
Yes they are very dry.
No animals are allowed in the units.

People are generally unsure of how much space they need and how long they need to store for.

Many small businesses have started in storage units.

No we do not, you are only able to access your unit, the facility cannot access your unit.
