StorageX Named Self-Storage Provider of the Year — Australia at the LTG Global Awards 2026/27

We’re thrilled to share some exciting news from Huntingdale. StorageX has been named Self-Storage Provider of the Year — Australia in the LTG Global Awards 2026/27, an international recognition awarded by the Luxury Travel Guide (ltgawards.com).

The award certificate, signed by the Editor in Chief, recognises StorageX Pty Ltd for excellence in self-storage at a national level — a meaningful achievement for a family-owned, independent facility competing in a category that spans the whole of Australia.

A second major industry honour

This isn’t the first time StorageX has been recognised at the top of its field. In 2023, the facility won the Self Storage Association of Australasia’s “Facility of the Year” award in the 150- to 500-unit category, along with the Monash Rising Star Award. Adding the LTG Global Award to the trophy cabinet builds on a strong track record of recognition for a facility that only opened its doors a few years ago.

For an independent operator going up against much larger national chains, picking up another award of this calibre is no small thing.

What the award recognises

The Luxury Travel Guide awards focus on operators who deliver consistently high standards in service, facilities, and customer experience.

While LTG is best known for hospitality and travel, the broadening of categories reflects how storage facilities particularly, premium ones increasingly sit alongside hospitality businesses when it comes to customer expectations around cleanliness, security, and service.

If you’ve been into the Huntingdale facility, you’ll know why it stands out. A few of the things customers most often mention:

  • A drive-through entrance with two access points, making loading and unloading genuinely easy
  • Individually alarmed units, randomised PIN codes at every entrance, 24/7 CCTV, and daily lock checks
  • Month-by-month rentals — you only pay for the time you actually need
  • A complimentary coffee while you sort out your booking (a small touch, but a popular one)

The facility on North Road also holds a 4.9-star average across customer reviews on Birdeye, which tells you the recognition isn’t just coming from awards judges.

A facility built for the South East Melbourne community

StorageX sits at 1313–1315 North Road, Huntingdale — roughly 16km from the Melbourne CBD, tucked between Chadstone Shopping Centre and Monash University’s Clayton campus. The location serves Huntingdale, Clayton, Oakleigh, Chadstone, Mount Waverley, Hughesdale, Mulgrave, Carnegie, Glen Waverley and the surrounding suburbs.

The team has worked hard to make the facility a genuine asset to the local community — whether that’s helping families through the chaos of a house move, supporting small businesses needing flexible space to grow into, or giving students at Monash somewhere safe to store belongings between semesters.

What it means for customers

Awards are nice on the wall, but the real win for customers is what they reflect: a facility that takes security, cleanliness, accessibility, and service seriously enough that independent judges are willing to put their name behind it.

If you’re in the middle of a move, downsizing, renovating, or just running out of space at home or work, having a storage provider you can actually trust matters. Knowing that provider has been independently recognised against operators across the entire country adds a useful bit of reassurance to the decision.

A thank you to our customers

None of this happens without the hundreds of local families and businesses who’ve trusted StorageX with their belongings since the facility opened.

The award belongs to them as much as the team behind the counter.

If you’d like to see the facility for yourself, the team is on site at 1313–1315 North Road, Huntingdale, or you can give them a call on 1300 173 173 or visit storagex.com.au.

Here’s to the next chapter.
